Health and Fitness

The way to reduce healthcare costs is to do your best to stay healthy and fit! On the page below are a number of low-impact strategies that can help in this process. Not everyone is a gym rat, so what can we do to try to avoid the ever-so-increasing costs of doctors and medications? Check out the information and products below that may be of help.

Home - Making it a safe environment

Our homes are the place where we spend a lot of our time eating, sleeping and relaxing. While the office or outside job may also compete with your time, this topic will focus on your time at home spent inside your home and how to make it a more healthy environment. In this first part of this health series, I will address indoor home pollution. Most of us automatically think of air pollution and how adding plants and good filtration systems and ionizing air products can make the air in our homes more healthy. I would not disagree! However, in this space, I wish to explore a different sort of pollution, which is radiation sources from electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs), Radio Frequencies (RFs), Electric Field (EF) and Extremely Low Frequencies (ELFs). I have already written a blog post on this topic which is a brief summary on this issue. It can be found at: EMFs and Your Health.

As mentioned, this is a page that will continually be updated. But for now, it will contain some products that I have found useful in making my home a more healthy environment with respect to in-home radiation. I am placing products here for those who have read the blog and want to know what I use to test, monitor and manage radiation in my home. I consider the purchase of these products as an investment in my health. Additionally, I can use some of this testing equipment to test the homes of my loved ones and friends.

Testing and Monitoring Equipment

To gain knowledge and a baseline for the conditions in your home, it is necessary to conduct testing using testing equipment. This is cheaper than hiring a professional consultant and can be used not only in your home, but in the homes of your loved ones or friends that you know that may have health issues that you suspect are related to radiation exposure. Additionally, the tri-meter can be used outside to test for radiation that is coming from outside sources or in outside venues that you spend a lot of time.

Once testing has been conducted and trouble areas spotted, then there is a need for products that can reduce to manageable safe levels the level of electromagnetic radiation levels in your home. Here are a few products that I have ordered and found effective and might work for you as well.

Electromagnetic & Radio Frequency Shielding Products & Dirty Electricity Filters

This cage reduces RF exposure. Be sure to measure your router to ensure it fits. There is a larger one below. But routers come in all shape and sizes. These cages, while reducing RF exposure still allow a good signal for use around our home.

These clip onto cords of different sizes to reduce radiation to devices and especially useful for headphone wires.

I found that this product fits my iPhone XR with room to spare as well as a cord plugged in for overnight charging. Tip: Put your phone in Airplane mode so it won’t be pinging radiation all night while you sleep. Make sure you measure your phone. Larger phones may not fit in this cage.

A great value multi-purpose meter that is portable and can be used to measure indoor and outdoor radiations from EFs, EMFs and RFs.

Just plug this meter into an electrical socket to test for dirty electricity. It provides a baseline so when you plug in a dirty electricity filter, you can see the difference it makes and the percentage reduction. Adding more filters can reduce the radiation from these sources further.

This case is the one discussed in my blog post. However, it is sized specific to your particular phone. It only shields on one side as it can’t totally shield and the phone still work. Be mindful of which is the shielded side when carrying in your pocket. Be sure to order the right size for your particular phone.

A great multipurpose tool to ensure your plugs are wired correctly.

If you are asthmatic, or suspicious that you may have a lot of dust, mold or volatile organic compounds in the air of any environment that you spend a lot of time, this device is a great investment! Bad air quality can be the cause of a lot of health issues including respiratory issues and headaches. Isn’t it worthwhile to be able to test your environment to ensure you are in a healthy air quality environment?

Smart Meters are a huge source of radiation. Best to opt out if given the chance and tell them that you will stick with your analog meter. Check out this YouTube documentary about Smart Meters: Take Back Your Power 2017 (Official) (https://youtu.be/8ZTiT9ZSg3Q).

Greenwave filters reduce DIRTY ELECTRICITY present on electrical wiring in homes and other buildings. Simply plug the filters into electrical outlets for immediate results. Filters include a built-in outlet at their base for plug-through convenience. The filtering is not just what is plugged into the filter as the filter works on the whole circuit to which the plug is connected. This means that you may only potentially need one per circuit, not one per outlet.

A different metering option for testing all three types of EMF. This one also includes measuring the amount your body may be receiving, when gripped properly and dialed to the Weighted measurements.

For those who prefer over-the-ear headsets with microphones, here is a good option.

This is a more sophisticated and sensitive meter that is directional, allowing one to more accurately identify Radio Frequency (RF) sources. However, that is the only for RFs.
